"tour two"
hi, this is simon, the newest member of lakes.
i recently joined the band as half of the rhythm section with the fabulous jacob lake - it's my job to hold down the bottom end (play bass) - and so far it's loads of fun. i'll probably use that word a lot in these posts. fun, fun, fun.

yeah, lakes is a lot of fun. the music feels really good to play and hopefully people leave our shows with a smile on their faces and a spring in their step... and, like seth said in his post, it doesn't really matter whether there are 3 people (stockton) or 300 people (way to go, laguna hills) at a show, because tour is about being out there and playing and meeting new people. of course, i'd be lying if i said it feels exactly the same. playing to a full room where everyone is ready to have a good time is awesome... but we have fun either way, it just feels good to be on stage together playing. so, we'll be coming around again soon.

it's a bummer the accent doesn't come through in typing.
I love the new website. I can't wait for even more new music. Keep up the great work. I've loved your music all the way from Watashi Wa days. Me and my friend were just singing your song while on a trip to New Hampshire and walking around in -10 degree F weather. Your music has inspired me many times. Please please please don' even stop.
You should come to Michigan.
Wait, how come I never knew you guys had a Lakes blog??!
because we're so sneaky
