"tour"

hello
my name is seth and i'm going to talk about our "tour" we just did. it was very pathetic in 3 main ways. first it was only a week, which is as we all know very short for tour and even questionable as to if it should even be called a tour because of its lacking in length. the second way is that we only played 2 paying shows. you might ask how we managed to survive? well i'll get to that. the third is that we played a few very small shows, in fact broke a new record for the smallest show i've ever played on this tour. 3 people.
but heres the thing, this tour was in actuality right up there with the best of them in the end. we didnt have alot of money so we came together alot and that was bonding, we played on the street for money and that was fun and different and humbling. most importantly
this was a landmark for Lakes as the start of a lot good things to come, really almost like a new beginning, and for me it was the first time in a long time that i felt as though i was in a band again. really close friends getting closer and better and having fun and meeting new people. thats really all i could hope for in a tour. so soon we will be in your town maybe playing on your street...all because of this tour. here are some pictures from our tour.

3 people?!?! For a Lakes show? Sad I say. Sad.
optimism. you can't hold it down. the world needs lakes. oh, and i like the pok-a-dot shirt. here's to a year of longer tours.
Hope you come to the southeast one of these days. Really looking forward to some new music from you guys? This maybe a personal question, but here it goes anyhow. How do you make it as a musician in a band with such little pay, especially being married?

we work for a living and play music for fun...but hopefully someday we will play music for a living...a few more tours maybe. this is i do for a living www.805collective.com
Thanks for answering. I checked out 805, I had seen some of your work without realizing it was you before. The Delirious website is pretty cool. Good work! The only reason I asked is because I know it can be hard
Are you enjoying the cookies? I had an idea to freeze all the excess to use as sustenance on your next tour. Or you could sell them at the booth to all your awesome fans. Bet they don't know you can bake too. You are deceptively talented in so many ways.
It must be genetic.
Nice site too. Please put your Christmas song up "Wonderful" and spread some peace and joy!
Hi from Omaha, NE. I just want to say that I recently stumbled upon the EP on i-tunes and I'm really enjoying it. Thank you for making it. I look forward to hearing more from you as it becomes available in the future.
I was really happy today to discover that you're experiencing a re-birth of sorts. I wish I could have been one of those three people at the show. If you make it out to Boston I can guarantee that we'll at least match that number with my wife and baby.
I also wanted to let you know about a cool new music site called thesixtyone. People can bump up songs they like and I'd love to see Lakes stuff on it.
